My science teacher showed me my log today. I did not realize, but there a many more insects that I thought. There are also some new very tiny insects in the log. They are nearly microscopic. I do not now what kind of insect they are but I hope I can find out soon. My science teacher is also taking our ecosystems to his house today, so he can help them stay alive.  I hope by him taking it home it will all survive.

Today we unsealed our containers. All but some of my plants are turning brown.There are a few insects still alive. These include crickets and ants. All of my decomposers are still alive and growing everyday. My duckweed in my pond has multiplied. My pond is more that half way covered with it. Some of the water went back into my pond over the weekend. My predicament was wrong for this project. I thought the plants would all grow and stay alive, but they did the opposite. I also thought my insects would reproduce more insect, but most of them died. In this project I learned that plants need a lot of sun, water, a mild temperature, insects need food, and water. I had a lot of fun doing this project. I hope we get to do some more hands on projects like these.

Plant are starting to grow again. I moved the lamp to the right side of the ecosystem. My oxygen is stable now. The CO2 has went up a little. This means the insects and animals are producing more CO2. I think this will help my ecosystem grow more. The water cycle is starting to calm down. It does not have as much water cycling as it did 2 days ago. I think that is why my plants are starting to grow more. We are also opening the ecosystem Monday morning. I predict everything will grow over the weekend.

There are only a few plants alive now. My fern is almost completely dead, but I notices there is a new plant growing in there with 3 leaves. My lizard has changed colors again. It's whole body is green except it's tail. It is brown. My oxygen went up a little. It is now at 19.2 percent. The water cycle is still going well in the ecosystem. I have not seen any insects today. I hope they are all hiding. If not, I did not have enough food in there for them to survive, or the lizard and spider ate them. If that is true then there will be not food for my lizard and spider, so they will die.

The plants are still wilting . My slugs were on the side of the container this morning. I do think rotating the ecosystem is helping tremendously. The water is all over the lid now, not just on one side. It might take a few days, but I think the plants will start to grow again. My oxygen went down by .5 percent of night.  I think that happened because the plants are wilting. They are not producing as much oxygen as they did a week ago. I did not see any other insects or the lizard this morning.

Today my partner and I decided to move the ecosystem. We turned it around so the other side would get some heat from the lamp. My water cycle is doing well. Although I think 1 side has a little to much water on it. My lizard has went back into hiding. I did not see him the morning. My plants are looking a little better this morning, but the are still a little wilted.

My predicament was completely wrong. The plants are all dieing. I am hoping they will adapt and start growing again. The animals are doing quite well. The lizard was up and moving this morning and I have seen all the insects. My oxygen stayed about the same. My temperature went up a little. I think my ecosystem is doing everything it is supposed to be doing at the point. I also did my 2 graph today. Everything is slowly increasing. By the end of the project I am hoping the oxygen will be the same as our oxygen in the atmosphere.

Everything is quiet in my ecosystem this morning, nothing is moving around. The plants keep increasing in size and width. I think the plant light has helped the ecosystem a lot. The light above the ecosystem was not helping as much. The oxygen and carbon dioxide stayed about the same. The temperature went down a lot; I dont know why it went down. Hopefully I will find out why it did. Over the weekend I think my ecosystem will be very productive. I Think the plants will grow in size and the insects will start to reproduce.

I took my readings today and my oxygen went up by .5 percent. It is slowly going up. My water cycle is working a whole lot better. The water is condensing twice as fast and it is precipitating twice as fast also. My lizard is right beside the plant like to get the warmth because, the anole lizard is cold blooded. The oxygen cycle is working quite well now. There is more oxygen than carbon which is how it is supposed to be. By the time my ecosystem is finished growing, I think it will look like a rain forest. One of the red ants was caring the lizards old skin. That means the lizard has already shed it's skin.

The Oxygen is increasing rapidly. My lizard is jumping around a lot; I hope that means he has more energy from eating. My lima bean plants are making leaves now and the ants are crawling on the leaves. The lamp has helped my ecosystem tremendously .
