Mixing and creating our soil! DAY 1
In this picture my classmates and I are starting our adventure our the ecosystem. My partner and I are mixing and adding different kinds of soil to our container. We are also adding organtic things like hay, grass, bark, rocks, esc.
Begining our ecosystem DAY 2
In this picture my partner and I have mixed our dirt in and added a few logs for our insects to live under.
Putting ivy and seeds into our ecosystem! DAY 3
In this picture, we have have now started putting ivy and seeds into the ground. My partner, Danny Dawson and I had to estimate how deep the ivy should go into the ground. The seeds include kidney beans, pinto beans, green beans, bell peppers, esc.
Insects! DAY 3
In this picture we are putting a variety of insects into our ecosystem. These include spiders, beetles, lady bugs, and rolly pollies.
Water Cycle DAY 5
We added water to our ecosystem in this picture. Now our ecosystem will begin our water cylce.

DAY 6
Nothing has really changed from day 5 yet, but it should start growing soon!
Day 7 Duckweed Growing!
In this picture our duckweed has multiplied over night!
Day 7 Adding De-composers!
In this picture my partner and I air adding worms to our ecosystem. The worms will now start decomposing the dead products in the container now.
Day 7 Worms Closer up
In this picture, there is a closer up look at the worms.
Day 8 Log Beginning to Break Down
In this picture my plants are starting to grow and the log in beginning to break down. I am surprised that the decomposers are already breaking it down.
Adding an Anole Lizard
Today we added a anole lizard to our ecosystem. This lizard changes colors.

In this picture the plants have doubled over the weekend.

In this picture the grass is growing very fast and the look is breaking down to fast.

This is a picture of what the precipitation was doing today.
Slug Getting Moisture From Lid. Day 19
This is a picture of what the slug was doing today. It climbed to the top to get the moisture, because that is where most of the moisture was. Slugs need a lot of moisture to survive.
Roots. Day 21
In my ecosystem, you can see the grass roots from the outside of the container. The roots are starting to spread rapidly. This is a picture of what I am talking about.

This is own of the plants. As you can see, there is a lot of water around it. You can see that the plant is withering This is why I think the plants are getting to much water. You can see

This is the top of the container on day 26. As you can see, the water droplets are forming into larger droplets.

Thia is what the log looks like on day 37 after we unsealed the ecosystem. As you can tell the log broke down a lot form the deconposers.

This is our pond on day 37. The duck weed has multiplied and the water level has went down because of the water cycle.
